11. Does your product contain petroleum jelly?
No. Aquegel does not contain petroleum jelly.
You may have heard that it isn’t safe to use petroleum products (like petroleum jelly, Vicks, etc) with oxygen or in your nose...true! But unlike the rumors of pneumonia, the concern of petroleum products is flammability.
Petroleum products are ignited very easily when exposed to high oxygen concentrations and can function as an ignition source.

The American Lung Association encourages safety precautions including the use of water-based products instead of petroleum-based lotions or ointments. Aquegel is more than 50% water (weight by volume).
